August Musings

Gosh, is it really Thursday already?

Four days since I wrote my last blog entry. Where does all time disappear to?

Tomorrow I shall be heading towards Bristol for my Crystal Healing Workshop on Saturday. I haven't been to Bristol for some time.

My main memories of driving through Bristol are its comprehensive - and very confusing - one way systems.

Fortunately, Bristol isn't too far from where I live. It always amazes me that when I go over the Severn Bridge I can do so freely but to be allowed back into Wales I have to pay £5.20 to do so.

Why the Welsh actively discourage tourists by charging them so much money to enter their country has always been an enigma to me. It just doesn't make any sense whatsoever - though I guess the world in which we now live is mostly made up of power-crazed bureaucrats who are more interest in the pursuit of the material God, rather then helping people who have scarcely enough money and often have to make a stark choice - to eat or to heat.

And this is the UK I am talking about - not some third world country!

I have many friends in countries where the people are in desperate straits; no food, no medicines, no home, no money.

Whilst - admittedly - most people in the UK are not in quite such desperate circumstances, nevertheless there are an increasing number of people who can now be described as being in the poverty belt.

I may be accused of being old-fashioned but when I was growing up I was always taught to take responsibility for one's own actions!!

And - what's more - I wasn't expected to to suffer from anyone else's wrong doings.

Yet, this is exactly what our UK Government are wanting us to do.

Surely it cannot be morally justified to repossess people's homes because they cannot pay their mortgage because their mortgage company has increased their monthly repayments because of this so-called credit crunch which is not the fault, nor the responsibility, of the people who are suffering because they have not the necessary available income to meet the extortionate and exhorbitant demands of their mortgage companies?

I know that sounds a mouthful - but it's the absolute truth.

The Government is not allowing us to set a very good example to our children!! What do our children make of such irresponsible actions being taken by those who are supposedly elected to look after all our best interests?

I don't mean to become too politically-orientated.

All I want to ensure is that nobody suffers the pain and trauma of losing their home, their self-respect or their relationship through a set of external circumstances completely beyond their personal control?

Do you agree?

Anakas and Ondaeus - an Atlantean Romance

I love romances!!

Anakas and Ondaeus may have lived many eons of time ago - in Atlantis - but through their E-Book their romance and feelings for each other are brought graphically alive.

Chocolate

The children were lined up in the cafeteria of a Catholic elementary school for lunch.

At the head of the table was a large pile of apples.

The nun made a note, and posted on the apple tray:

"Take only ONE. God is watching.

"Moving further along the lunch line, at the other end of the table was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies.

A child had written a note,

"Take all you want. God is watching the apples."

Out of the mouths of children...............

Kahil Gilbran

You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore.
You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days.
Ay, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God.
But let there be spaces in your togetherness,

And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.
Love one another, but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup.

Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone,
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.
Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping.

For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together yet not too near together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow.

Thought for the Day

One of my Healing International friends sent me these very profound words from Helen Keller:-

'No pessimist ever discovered the secret of the stars, or sailed to an uncharted land, or opened a new heaven to the horizon of the spirit'

Helen Keller 1880 - 1968

Healing International Ning Web site

I started this blog as a kind of 'add-on' to the main Healing International ning-formatted social network.

To be quite honest I didn't appreciate just how successful Healing International was going to become - it's almost taken over my life.

It is certainly very much easier for me to access Healing International than Facebook - Facebook and I don't seem to be speaking the same language these days - it often takes me many hours to even read my Facebook messages.

Since Healing International was created three months ago, we have just passed a momentous milestone - and welcomed member number 1000 to Healing International.

Healing International has its own sub-groups such as:-

Crystal Healing
Reiki
Atlantis
Acupuncture
Distant Healing
Past-Life Regression
EFT

Members can always create their own groups for their own specific therapy if they wish to do so.

Already I have noticed that many members of Healing International are making friends with each other - and exchanging/discussing ideas, news and other information.

If you have not already become a member of Healing International - and would like to do so - and join many other like-minded spiritual Lightworkers please click below:-

http://healinginternational.ning.com/?xgi=c0P7rM0

and complete your profile (it only takes 5 minutes)

Next year - 2009 - I plan to organise Healing International Congresses in the UK and in the US - possibly in even more countries!!

In my view it is very important that all healers and therapists are connected with each other.

Wearing another one of my various 'hats' I am also the Registrar of the International Holistic Therapies Directories:-

http://www.internationalholistictherapiesdirectories.com/

Currently there are around 9,700 healers/therapists, representing 116 different countries, in 37 seaparate therapies within the International Holistic Therapies Directories.

The internet is a wonderful invention but in many ways it has become much too fragmented.

Take Reiki, for example.

If you wish to find a reiki therapist in your own locality, there is no central source directory. I have just googled the words 'reiki practitioners' and Google tells me that there are 245,000 entries. The mind absolutely boggles...............

Part of the problem is that many healers/therapists are quite unable to understand the great benefits that they can obtain by becoming listed in a healing directory.

Through Healing International - in the fullness of time - I envision that we shall be able to produce the most comprehensive healing and therapist directories on the internet.

YOUR support will be invaluable.

My Magic Carpet Ride

Welcome to my Healing International Blog.

Everyone else seems to be blogging away like mad these days so why not me? (I ask myself).

So you are warmly invited to join me on my Magic Carpet Ride to visit many fascinating facets of our collective minds, bodies and spirits.

Today, I have just finished writing my new book. A 149 page, 49,750 word literary masterpiece!!

Hopefully, the publisher will have it ready - in print and in my hands some time before Christmas. I live in hope, anyway!!

I must try and update this blog on a regular basis.

My mother - a lady of literary talent who could never write/say one word where nineteen would do equally as well - would have loved the whole concept of blogging.

Sadly, she passed away nearly 16 years ago when the internet and computers were in their embryonic infancy.

I think my mother would have approved of the way in which I am a prolific contributor to many mailing lists and web sites.

So where would you like my Magic Carpet to take you?

Answers on a post card - or left as a comment.

With many healing blessings

Geoffrey
